2 FREE Shred/Recycling Events: April 22, 2017

Beaverton Location – Shred Event

Time: 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
Location: Sunset Presbyterian Church –
14986 NW Cornell Rd. Portland, Oregon 97229

This is on a first-come, first-served basis for personal documents and you may bring up to three banker’s boxes of papers. Please remove all binder clips. There is no need to remove staples or paper clips.

Participants at this location are encouraged to bring a non-perishable food donation for the Oregon Food Bank. You may also bring a monetary donation. Both support our local community!

SW Portland Location – Shred & Recycling Event

Raleigh Hills Annual Earth Week Shred & Recycle Event
Sponsored by AAA of Oregon

Date: Saturday, April 22nd, 2017
Time: 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
Location: AAA of Oregon
8555 SW Apple Way, Beaverton Hillsdale Hwy., Portland, OR 97225
This is their 4th Annual FREE Shred/Recycle event. You may bring the following:

  • Documents for small business and personal shredding – rented by the Raleigh Hills Business Association
  • Household goods – these will go to the Community Warehouse
    Community Warehouse is the only local agency that will take good usable mattresses
    Please, NO STAINS, RIPS & TEARS (NO king size mattresses or large headboards)
  • Batteries – dead or alive – will be accepted by Interstate All Battery
  • Electronics – dead or alive – will be accepted by EcoBinary (E Recycler)
  • Empty toner cartridges – taken by Cartridge Network
  • Books, CDs, Tapes, usable clothing, small household items – these will be accepted by the Garden Home Community Library and the West Slope Community Library

    How much material for shredding will the AAA site accept per person?

      Hi Alan, I believe they usually judge it by banker box, with two full banker boxes being the max. Sometimes they allow three.
